The vision of Empower African Children’s Visitor Programs is to create a community of Ugandans and Americans, connected through service and learning in a way that values each culture involved.

We created our Visitor Programs as a way to share the true heart of our work in Uganda with our network of supporters back in the States. By traveling to Africa, building meaningful relationships with our students, and simply experiencing Uganda, you’ll leave with a greater understanding and enthusiasm for our work. Visitor Programs give individuals a chance to see Uganda through the lens of Empower African Children. Our visitors will be exposed to Ugandan culture, food, shopping, and city life. Also, as part of the experience, each group will complete a service project alongside our students at an Empower partner site. This is a once in a lifetime adventure and a great opportunity to share in a wide variety of learning experiences that teach trust, servant leadership, cultural respect and awareness, and team building. We guarantee this trip will expand your worldview as you witness firsthand how lives are being changed in Uganda. Who knows? Maybe your life will be changed as well.
